Normal skin and combination skin require special care. Dr. Shahid cares for shiny and dry skin at the same time.
Normal skin is fine-pored, well supplied with blood, and neither too oily nor too dry. The complexion looks rosy and fresh, it feels soft to velvety soft. Since pore size and sebum production are balanced, normal skin rarely shows impurities. But normal skin can also lose its balance: e.g., due to hormonal changes, stress, prolonged nicotine or alcohol consumption, or excessive UV radiation. It reacts with dryness, feelings of tension, irritation or itching. Protect normal skin with gentle care products from Dr.Shahid Skincare, which protects it from drying out and strengthen its body’s own protective function against daily stress.
What is combination skin?
The skin feels oily on the forehead, nose, and chin, while the eyes and cheeks feel dry: Combination skin, therefore, has the characteristics of two different skin types. For those affected, this means that in some places the skin appears shiny and moist, while in others it appears brittle and cracked. In most people affected by combination skin, the skin of the so-called T-zone is oily and partly covered with blackheads and pimples. Similar to oily and impure skin, excessive activity of the sebaceous glands takes place in these parts of the face. Other areas of the face, such as the cheeks and around the eyes, are rather dry. Causes are often environmental influences such as humidity or skin aging. This requires more varied care than with other skin types.
The right care for combination skin
In combination skin, dry and oily skin areas occur simultaneously. Sebum production on the forehead, nose, and chin is usually greatly increased. Here the pores are enlarged, and the skin tends to shine. The cheeks, on the other hand, are rather dry. The right care for combination skin depends on which skin type you have. If only a small part of the T-zone is oily, use moisturizing creams for the dry skin areas in combination with peeling or a mask for the oily. If the T-zone is larger, it is better to use products with a lighter consistency for oily skin, which you combine with rich eye care.
All care products for normal and combination skin are dermatologically tested and free of parabens, PEGs and paraffins.
